WHY
CHOOSE A PEEL LAWYER?
Thank you for considering
a member of the Peel Law Association to meet your legal needs.
Many people assume that downtown Toronto is the only place where
quality legal advice and timely legal services are available. Fortunately,
that is not the case.
Peel Region, including Caledon,
Brampton, and Mississauga, is fortunate to have many excellent lawyers
to service you or your organization. Whether your needs involve
a simple real estate conveyance or a straight-forward will, or you
require representation in a complex commercial transaction or litigation
matter, there are members of the Peel Law Association that can provide
you with the best quality of service available.
There are many advantages
to consider in using a member of the Peel Law Association. The Peel
Law Association has many highly qualified practitioners. The PLA’s
membership ranks include Law Society of Upper Canada Certified Specialists
in many areas of the law. Many of the PLA’s members have obtained
Master’s Degrees in areas as diverse as Alternative Dispute
Resolution and Electronic Commerce Law.
There
are other advantages as well. Given its tightly knit professional
community, it is likely that if you choose one of the PLA’s
members to represent you, that member will have a network
of other service professionals to meet your needs. Whether
your matter requires the assistance of a marital counselor,
a medical practitioner, or an accountant or business valuator,
it is likely that one of the PLA's lawyers will know, or will
know where to find, the expert your case requires.
If your matter involves
court appearances, there are advantages to using a PLA member
that cannot be overlooked. If your matter will be heard at
the Brampton Courthouse, it is likely that the PLA lawyer
you choose will have made frequent appearances at that courthouse
for motions, trials or other proceedings. Familiarity with
the Brampton Courthouse means knowledge of the Brampton court’s
unique procedural requirements and frequent exposure
to the Judges that preside there, as well as the crown attorneys
and lawyers that may appear on the other side of your dispute. |
|
And, equally important,
consider that in many cases PLA members are less expensive
than their Bay Street counterparts.
There is no substitute
to doing your own research to decide which lawyer to retain
to represent you. When you talk with a potential lawyer,
the above factors are some you might consider in deciding
whether that lawyer is the right one for you.
Given the size of
Peel’s population, the mix of its industry and commerce,
and its proximity to other major urban centers, Peel Region
has a wide range of legal needs. Fortunately it also has
a vibrant legal community and a comprehensive local bar.
The Peel Law Association is privileged to represent that
bar, and its members look forward to the opportunity to
represent you.
